Complete Solution to the Most General Nonlinear Filtering Problems and Its Implementation

内容简介:The famous filtering problem of estimating the state of a stochastic dynamical system from noisy observations is of central importance in engineering. This problem is reduced to solve the Duncan-Mortensen-Zakai (DMZ) equation which is satisfied by the unnormalized conditional density of the state given the observation history. We first introduce a very general class of finite dimensional filters which include Kalman filter and Benes filter as special cases. For general nonlinear filtering problems, solving the DMZ equation can be reduced to solving a Kolmogorov forward equation off-line, and this is the so-called Yau-Yau algorithm. At last, we shall introduce the filter based on the recurrent neural networks (RNNs).
报告人简介:丘成栋,美国纽约州立大学石溪分校博士,清华大学退休教授,美国伊利诺伊大学芝加哥分校杰出荣誉退休教授,美国普林斯顿大学高等研究院成员,美国哈佛大学助理教授。1991年创办了国际一流数学期刊《Journal of Algebraic Geometry》,之后一直担任该刊主编和管理编委职位。曾获得北京市优秀教师奖(2022年),ICCM陈省身奖(2019年),美国数学学会Fellow (2013年), IEEE Fellow(2003年), Guggenheim Fellowship (2000年) 和Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow(1984年)等奖项。主持过多项国家基金委面上、重点、重大研究计划和国际合作与交流等项目。当前研究方向主要为奇点理论、复几何、CR几何、控制与非线性滤波理论、生物信息学。
